Question about boob size & breastfeeding

Pre-pregnancy I was always a 34B in bras........well, between pregnancy and now breastfeeding, I'm a 36D.

I plan on EBFing for 6-12 months (hoping that when I go back to work, that the pumping works).

My question is-will my boobs ever go back to their pre-pregnancy size or will they stay big? I want to buy all new bras and underwear but wondering how long I should wait to purchase....or should I just stick to nursing bras until I'm no longer breast feeding?

Pre-pregnancy by bra size was 34 C. I went up to a 38 D while BF. My boobs went back to normal size when I stopped but for some reason I went from a 34 C to a 36 C. So I had to get all new bra's. I have also heard of people going down in sizes after BF. I was so worried that would happen to me. So, I would wait to buy new bra's.

Don't buy any bra assuming what size you will be after you are done BFing.

I also would not buy underwire bra while BFing. It has been known to create problems with clogged ducts.

I would wait. I'm still BFing so I don't know from experience yet, but I've heard so many variations from people with experience. It seems like anything is possible for post-pregnancy/BF boobs, it all depends on the individual woman.

Both times I went from a 34B to a 36D down to a 34C and then eventually settled back into my 34Bs... which may or may not be a little big depending on the day.

I've never seen anyone keep their boobs after they stop BFing.

I was exactly the same as you!

34B pre-pregnancy, 36D afterwards & during BFing. I stopped BFing at around 3.5 months. Im now a 34C. DD is now 6 months old.

I would wait.. I was a 34 B to start and wen to a 32 D once I lost the baby weight but was still nursing. I went back to a B cup and now Im up again since im pregnant again

My boobs are now smaller than they were before I was even pregnant. Brady destroyed them. I swear they look deflated. I was a 34B before pregnancy... a 34C when pregnant.. No idea what size I was when nursing since I only wore nursing tanks... and now I am a 34A.. They are gone

I went up 1 cup size during pregnancy and 1 size during BFing. I went down 1 cup size once I stopped BFing. I didn't go back down again until I lost a bunch of weight. I'd probably stick with nursing bras right now. I bought a bunch of bras after I stopped BFing. Now that I've lost weight, they're too big.

I was a 34D before my last pregnancy. Then I went up to a 34E. After I stopped BF'ing my boobs deflated, but then they mysteriously came back about a year later and I was in a 34DD.

I started at a 34C went to a 36D after BFing I am not a 36C, but they do seem BIGGER than before pregnancy. I think I am a FULL C now. Friends have been saying that my boobs look huge!

I wouldn't buy bras until you're done BFing.

I was a 34A pre-baby, then went up to a 34I while nursing in the beginning.

After I finished nursing older DS, I went back to 34B, but then got pregnant right away with DS#2.

Again, went up in size, but only to a 34DD while nursing/pumping.

Now that I'm done nursing, I've 'settled' at 34D --- so I guess I'm one of the few who didn't go back down to my pre-nursing size.

post BF 36F - but they are getting loose since I started loosing weight ... I might fit into my old bras, will have to dig them out.

I was a 38C then went up to a F cup after dd was born. They were huge. Now 10 months later they are back to what they were pre-pregnancy. I am still BF now. I have a feeling they are going to deflate when I stop nursing. I won't buy any new bras until I am done. I live in the Bravado silk seamless for now.

I'd say buy as you go... there is no possible way to predict your size.. My size is a whole other topic

I was 34C pre-preg
Went up quite a bit with each preg and while bf'ing
After #3, I dont even fill out an A cup. I'm almost bac in training bras

Yes, my chest did go back to normal size. I would only buy nursing bras until you are completely done nursing for like 2 mos and, then, see what the situation is.

I was a 34C pre-preg both times. Went up to 36DD during preg - with my first until about 6 wks I was like an F - NO JOKE I actually bought bras that were that big! But, then they adjusted and stayed a 36DD until I stopped nursing at 10 mos. About 2 months later i could wear my old bras. With #2 my boobs never got as big in the early weeks. They were pretty much always 36DD. I stopped nursing DD at 9 mos and about 2 mos later I can wear my 34C's again but, they don't really fit so great and I think I should get some new ones...
