my moms hand starting to go numb. She thought it was carpal tunnel and after going to a chiropractor, she went to a neurologist. She had stage 4 lung cancer that spread to the brain. Diagnosed on friday, brain surgery on sunday morning and lung surgery 2 weeks later. She has been cancer free for 6 years.
Wow! That's amazing!

Re: Question about Cancer diagnosing
So scary to hear the stories about misdiagnosis or being blown off by a Dr. It's so sad and upsetting how often this happens!
My dad had started to experience similar symptoms to a stroke except they were gradual to appear instead of sudden onset. One day his speech started to slur. My mom took him to the ER and they found a Stage IV Gliobastoma (brain tumor). Had surgery the following month died a year later.
