Re: question about cats & behavior

He might, but remember he's just a baby and babies have lots of energy.

My two 6-month old kitties are getting fixed on Friday.

Why do you have scratches all over you? Does your kitty have toys to play with? When you play with him, don't let him grab and bite/scratch you, or he will continue to do this when he is older. When mine try to do this I take my hand away and tell them no, and usually replace my hand with a toy.

Re: question about cats & behavior

None of mine have ever calmed down for being fixed. The day after they are a little withdrawn but otherwise I've seen no significant change.

Re: question about cats & behavior

mine did a little bit---hes about 2 years old now--and still has plenty of "kitten" left in him.

you cat might just be an energetic kitty. i would try and trim/file the tips of his nails so he doesn't scratch as much. your vet can show you the best way....or a groomer.

Re: question about cats & behavior

I think it's more of an age thing than a fixing thing.
They calm down a LOT as they get older....
