Question about CD3 bloodwork...
Is this done every month while TTC, or just the first month when they need to know your baselines?
I'm going away this weekend, so let's just hope I get a BFP so I don't have to worry about it.

every cycle Have fun on your vacation!
They can do it on CD2 or 4/5 also if you are not in town. I asked about this once because I was going to be away and was afraid I'd be gone on CD3.

They're checking to make sure there's no cysts? Can the cysts ever really go away if you have PCOS?
Even though nothing showed up on my CD12, the one thing I did see was my typical "string of pearls"

They're also checking that your uterine lining is where it should be at the beginning of a cycle. I don't have that typical string of pearls, but once in a while I show a small cyst. Nothing that stops me from starting a new cycle.

actually, the "string of pearls' are not cysts, they are just immature follies. PCOS has a weird name because you would think it meant ovaries with a lot of cysts, but they are actually follies that don't mature.

Re: Question about CD3 bloodwork...
The cysts they are looking for are big ones - usually left over corpus luteum cysts or other types that can interfere with stimulation. I've been delayed and also had to sit out a cycle because of large cysts.

Right..My DR also said he would NOT prescribe Clomid if I had left over corpus luteum cysts-you should be fine
