Question about CDs (not the music) :)
Im looking to open up a CD, ING has horrible rates right now. Does anyone have any suggestions of a CD that is ABOVE 2% at this time!!

What about looking into Treasury Bills?? I bought one when we were planning our wedding. I don't know what the interest rates are now but it works the same way as a CD.

There are definitely banks out there offering over 2%. Getting over 3% right now is the tricky part.
How long of a CD do you want? Give me the term length and I can give you some good rates.

Lin - we tried to do the same thing, but it ended up being easier for us to just open an accout with Citibank that was linked to the rest of our Citi accounts... a "high yield money market account"

We have a HSBC online savings acct. their current rate is 2.25%. You could do that instead and have full access to the $ at all times.

I'll look into that too!! We actually use citibank for our banking.

Re: Question about CDs (not the music) :)
www.discoverbank.com currently offers some agressive CD rates for long term.
Of course rates can change at any time, but once you open a CD you are locked in at that posted rate.
