question about changing table/dresser

right now i have the changing table with the top drawer full of newborn onesies & tshirts and the other drawers are full of burp cloths/changing pads/washcloths/towels,blankets and bibs..
So thats just one drawer with clothes in it. Against the other wall is the dresser/armoire with all of his clothes/onesies, etc in it.
Since the changing table would be where you "change"him, do you think i should rearrange everything?

How do you have yours set up?

Re: question about changing table/dresser

My changing table has three drawers:

Left - Burp Cloths and Bibs

Middle - Socks, Hats, Shoes

Right - Bathtime stuff (robe, towels, washcloths)

Then the dresser across the room has 5 drawers:

Top - current sized "at home" and bedtime outfits (onesies, footie pjs, etc.)

2nd - current sized "going out" outfits.

3rd - Blankets, Sheets

4th - next sized outfits

5th - outgrown outfits and memorabilia

My changing table has 5 drawers with nothing in themChat Icon

My dresser has 6 drawers.
I have 3-6 on one side (top-onesies and shirts, middle-pj's and bottom-pants) and 6-9 on the other side.

His nicer outfits are hanging in the closet.

His towels, blankets, washcloths are all in the armoire. So are socks, hats and bibs (all in wicker baskets).

I have an OCD organization issue. All his clothes are in size order in the closet and facing the same wayChat Icon

My changing table is a little weird and it is a little hard to get to the drawers, so I put the clothes in the dresser.

My DH was laughing at me b/c the diapers are even organized by sizeChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: question about changing table/dresser

My changing table has 3 drawers. The top drawer has burp cloths & receiving blankets. Second drawer has sheets, sheet savers, and changing pad covers. the last drawer has hooded towels & washcloths.

All of DD's clothes are in the regular dresser. Onsies & one piece play clothes in the top drawer. Pants, shorts & outfits in the second drawer. Swim suits, cover ups and sun dresses in the last drawer. Then we have a little side drawer with socks & hats.

It makes sense to me to have all of the clothes together but that's just me. You have to do what you think will work for you. You could always change it if you think it'll work out better another way in the future.

Re: question about changing table/dresser

My changing table has 3 drawers too. In the top one I keep the onesies/undershirts and pajamas. In the middle drawer I have summer outfits right now and in the bottom drawer I have warmer stuff for cool/rainy days. In the winter, I just kind of split up her clothes between the middle and bottom drawers. I have a little side drawer where I keep the socks and tights.

In her other dresser (5 drawers) I have bibs, hats & bloomers in the top drawer; burp cloths and wash cloths in the second; blankets, sheets & changing table covers in the third; and in the 4th & 5th I have clothes that she has yet to grow into.

Dresses, coats and sweaters are in the closet.

I was unsure of how to set things up at first too, but then I decided that since I'd be dressing her on the changing table, that's where I needed her clothes to be.
