Question about Crock Pots...

I literally took mine out of the box last night...washed it down in preparation for today. As I type this I am slow cooking pot roast in it...but there is this like plasticy smell??? I am thinking its because I am using it for the first time...please someone tell me this is normalChat Icon

there could be some of the plastic wrapping still on it somewhere. Does it smell electrical? Sometimes new appliances have that and need to brun off. Keep an eye on it.

No just like plastic....I checked to make sure everything was off. The instructions said it was normal for an off odor during the first time of use...BUT I just wanted to get imput from anyone on hereChat Icon ...ThanksChat Icon

The same thing happened to me the first time I used mine. It should be fine but just keep an eye on it.

That happened the first time I used mine also. I think it's just because it's new. Good luck..hope it's yummy!!
