question about effacement
My friend is 37 weeks and she is 1 1/2cm and 70% effacement. Does this mean she will go early? or can you go 3 weeks like this...

It can go either way.
I made little progress, I went into full blown labor at 60% effaced and a fingertip dilated..DD was born at 39w4ds.
I know girls who walked around for weeks 2-3 cms dilated and some or all effaced and still went late.
It's a secret your body and baby are the only ones who know!
