Years ago, before even TTC I said I would never use fertility drugs...but, now that I've lost a son and am on a mission to get pg again, if it doesn't happen on it's own and we wind up needing some help, I'd do it in a minute.
ETA...I now realize why people do use fertility drugs, when years ago I never even thought that getting pg on your own could be difficult or that tragic things could go wrong with the baby.

nope 
I too thought getting PG would never be this hard and never fully "understood" what fertility drugs were.
Now that Im actually taking them, I understand more and more and its really just an "aid" in helping your body do what its not on its own.

Yes, I have no other choice if it is EVER going to happen. Actually, I saw my RE yesterday and he said, after he saw my husband's SA, that we both have issues so it's on to IVF.

I used them, and PG with twins
It is not something I really wanted to do, but knew I had to in order to make my dreams come true.

I can't get pg without them, so for me, there is no choice. I do what I have to do for the shot at getting what I've always dreamed of.
I would be curious to hear from people who would NOT do them, and the reasons why.

If it comes to that point, I would of course ask the women here about their experiences with any drugs and take any assistance I can in having a baby

Some people have no side effects, but I usually get bloating, moodiness, headaches, and tiredness (but that could be from getting up at 4am to get to Manhattan).
As for long term effects, I'm not sure,and I really don't want to think about it.
