Question about follies - how many days...
How many days does it take for a follie to develop into something worth anything? I ask because I took Clomid this cycle and then went in for sonos on CD10 and CD14, and was told that I only had tiny, immeasurable things on both ovaries. Now on CD16 I'm noticing a whole lot of CM which is VERY unusual for me (I don't ovulate on my own and am not used to seeing it like this).
So the question is: if I had NOTHING on CD14, is it possible that 2 days later I have a... "something" that is enough to cause creamy/watery CM? Or is my CM just messed up from the meds they've put me on lately (I've heard that BC Pills can mess with your CM for up to a year).

Re: Question about follies - how many days...
i think it is possible, follies are growing at about 2 mm per day at that stage. Good luck!

Re: Question about follies - how many days...
I can't believe you're taking the time to answer my questions when you have all this going on in your own life. Thank you so much! And I was thinking about you today, hoping to see a good update from you this evening. Sounds like the news was pretty positive, and I have my fingers crossed for better news tonight!

Re: Question about follies - how many days...
thank you, Dava. I know that RE has results already, but i have not heard from him yet.
Anyhow, I think that if you see a lot of CM, BD just in case. Sometimes, clomid has delayed response, so they might not have seen anything over 9 or 10 mm, but within a few days, those follies can grow fast. Also, do not believe these REs who tell you that you can not get prego if you ovulate not on CD14, but on CD20. Good luck!

I can't believe you're not calling them! You have some patience. Good thing; it'll come in handy one day when you're a mom.
Back to my topic, though, I just checked and (sorry TMI) it was definitely what fertilityfriend would call "watery." We're supposed to do IUI this cycle - I can't imagine I'd miss my chance, right? I guess they know what they're doing - they told me on CD 14 to come back on CD 18 for another look because they didn't see anything and I can't imagine I'd O before then.

i called them, answering machine picks up.
watery CM is as good as strechy clear one. It is the thick mushy one that is not good. So if you have watery CM, still I also found tempting on clomid to be a waste.

regarding Oing earlier - you never know. It is advised to BD anyhow, especially of your DH does not have sperm issues. Yes, frequent BD can lower counts, but in my case, I BD a day before IUI and I think this is what did it for me.( well, we do not know for sure)

Re: Question about follies - how many days...
I'm not great with analyzing CM, but I had "nothing going on" on Friday, and this afternoon, I had a 19 mm follie, so anything is possible! Dr. B said that it often happens quickly!

I just saw that on your other post! That's awesome! I forgot that you had gone in on Friday and not seen anything - I think you and I are on similar paths. I was at the RE on Saturday after my own first try. You're giving me hope!

Re: Question about follies - how many days...
you could def have measurable follies this week after not having them a few days ago.
