Question about GD test - one hour
Does it mattter if you take the test first thing in the morning or not? My test is scheduled for the afternoon and the dr. just told me not to eat/drink for an hour b/f. But I see on here that most of you ladies take it first thing in the morning - is there more of a chance I will have to take the 3 hr if I take it in the afternoon? Thanks in advance

I took it first thing in the morning b/c Quest labs does not "schedule" this 1 hour & if you do not get there first thing the wait is huge. I don't think it has any affect on the outcome.

I did not want to chance it so I took it in the morning.
My Dr. told me not to eat anything after midnight. Or just a plain toast and water. I did not eat anything.

I was told no carbs the day of - so I wanted to get it over with in the morning

I had to do mine after fasting from midnight on, so I did it in the morning.
