Question about internals (afterwards!!)
OK... some people say they are OK. Well, I got one today at almost 35 weeks. It was painful!!!!
But I am still "sore" after several hours.
Is that normal?
That's probably a dumb question.

Hmm I had two today and they were quite painful but I am not sore at all afterwards. I think it is probably fine as everyone is different - as long as you are not bleeding remember they did poke around up there and it is bound to be uncomfortable.

After the 1st one at 37, I hurt for a few hours afterwards.
After this one at 38... she was much more "gentle" and I was ok.

What did the Dr. say about your pains this morning?
I have my first internal tomorrow and I hope I'm not sore after bc I wanted to go to my niece and nephews swimming lesson right after.

No, no bleeding. They told me to worry about bleeding only if it's like AF period.

I had contractions but they stopped. I have to rest this afternoon, drink lots of water and go back to L&D if it starts again.
I am sore but that would not stop me from doing anything if it was not from having to rest due to the contractions.

I was sore after my first internal, but not after the next two.
It scared me how much the first one hurt, I thought to myself, if I can barely handle this how will I handle the4 pain of labor & delivery!!!
