Question about last night's ER (possible spoilers)

I wanted to start another thread because i don't know if those who already posted in the last thread would look again....

I haven't watched the show religiously in a few years... but what is the story behind neala and that british dude? It seemed like he was making an effort but she wasn't into it? Is there a back story to that?

I figure since this is the last season, I might want to catch up on what i've missed..

they hooked up at the very end of the last season. he's a pompous a*s and has been sleeping his way around the hospital. It looks like Neela may have gotten under his skin though!

There was nothing going on btwn them until they slept together during the last episode of last season, which then of course carried into the beginning of yesterdays.

I think he is just showing more of an interest in her because she isnt showing interest in him. I think all the other girls he has slept with/flirted with have always made a big deal . He hasnt been on the show very long, just last season.
