Question about newborns
do you ever dress your newborn in anything other than a sleep and play? My poor DD has never been in an outfit because we don't go anywhere.

Re: Question about newborns
I've been doing the same thing. I feel so guilty for not putting her in pretty outfits, but the sleep & play is SO much easier and she is just starting to get better at getting dressed. She usually HATES it.

Re: Question about newborns
Ha ha. I dread getting DD dressed - she hates that and having her diaper changed. I think I found my solution though...the tummy time mat...she is distracted by the things hanging on it. I was putting her just in sleep clothes until my SIL got her the cutest outfits (a pain to put on) and started demanding pics. It's fun playing dress up after a while. See the hiney shot I got with her baggy little tights? <-------? Fun!

Re: Question about newborns
Steven wears a sleeper if we don't go out. If we go out, he wears an outfit. He really didn't have a lot of 0-3 month outfits. But he has a lot of 3-6 months, so now that he is in 3-6, he is wearing a lot more outfits.

Re: Question about newborns
I have had a lot of visitors over, so I try to out her in an "outift" when I know someone is coming. For the days that I am home solo, I just dress her in PJ's.

Re: Question about newborns
my poor kid has mostly jumpers/sleep & plays- i think she has every one on the carter line right now. we only have a few "outfits"- some American Apparel baby things.... and two dress outfits- honestly- they are just too annoying to keep her in and she doesn't really dig them anyway.

Re: Question about newborns
If we don't go out she's in a sleeper all day. But when we do venture out even if it is just to the supermarket she's dressed to the nine.

Re: Question about newborns
I actually dressed DD every day. I would have been OK to leave her in the sleep n play, but my sister said "she's not in college -- she wants to be dressed" . So I started dressing her every day.

Re: Question about newborns
He's 3/12 months now. I've always dressed him. DH, on the other hand, always puts him in PJs. I'll leave out clothes for him, but he ignores them. He tells me "he wants to be comfortable." I say, really, did he tell you this?? He has so many cute outfits and he never gets to wear them when I'm at work and DH watches him!!
