Question about nipple size.

The ped. wants my DD to have cereal in her bottle. He wants me to put a teaspoon in per ounce. My DD is 4 1/2 weeks old. What size nipple should you use. I am using 3's - do you think thats too much for her. She is finishing the bottle much faster than before. She's not choking but i dont want her to eat so much so fast and upset her belly.

I used level 1 until she was 3 months. Level 3 I would think would be too fast for a 4/12 week old. I would use level 2 if I were you.

I think for the cereal you should be using the Y nipple with doctor browns bottles.

That's what it says in the pamphlet that came with the bottles.

I think you have to use a Y nipple if you're putting cereal in the bottle. Be prepared b/c it's a bit messy
