Question about registry after baby shower

How long after did you ladies wait to start purchasing things off of your registry after your shower? I know that there may still be some people who could not make it but want to purchase a gift off of there, so did you wait keeping that in mind, or just purchased what you needed anyway?

Does anyone know if you can use the 10% completion coupon at BRU with a 20% off of one item coupon at the same time?

I had the BBB registry completion event just a week after my shower, which gave 20% off instead of the 10%.

I bought our expensive stroller since all close family had already given us gifts and I know anyone who missed the shower (a few friends and more distant relatives) weren't spending that much $$. I also picked up a few essentials that I knew we'd need for a newborn.

I did continue to receive gifts and even added on some toys and things so there are some items left.

I would wait a few weeks if you can, there really isn't a big rush. People may also check your registry to get an item when they come to visit the baby for the first time.
