Question about saving fresh spices
My Aunt recently told me she freezes her fresh spices so they don't go bad (like oregano, basil, etc). Has anyone ever heard of that?

Yes. I've done this before too with rosemary and some other spices.

Re: Question about saving fresh spices
I have done it, yesterday I grated a whole bunch of ginger and froze it in ice cube trays.
A really good idea is to make some herb butters and freeze them, they help the herbs to keep their fresh flavor and taste good on lots of stuff.
