Question about text messaging

I dont do it often but lately I have because I have a job that is strict with everything. So my question is....does the person receiving the message have to pay? I know I have to but my DH said he has to pay and I wasnt sure if that is correct.

Re: Question about text messaging

Yup...you pay on both ends. Unless you get a plan that includes same service texts.

Re: Question about text messaging

Usually if you are sending it to someone that doesn't have a plan it's only like 2 or 3 cents to receive, but like 10 cents to send

Re: Question about text messaging

If it's AT&T and there isn't a plan, it's $0.15 to send and receive (I received a talking to for texting on my work phone after doing it for over 2 years without a comment).

Re: Question about text messaging

find out with your provider--cause each one is different.

DH and i are on a family plan--and we get unlimited txt msgs to all Verizon customers. but i get an add'l 1000 txts a month to any non-VZW customer...and he gets an add'l 250. (i txt a LOT more than he does). after we reach our limits we have to pay for each msg.

Both dh and I are limited due to our plan, but I learned I can email a message to his cell phone. At least this way, he gets charged but I don't Chat Icon
