Question about the BRAT diet?
How long should I continue the BRAT diet. I posted the other day that DS has been sick with Diarrhea and I've been giving him bread, applesauce and bananas.
The last D attack he had was during the night. Knock on wood he did not have any this morning. His tooshy is still red though and changing him is still a nightmare...
Actually this morning he was in a good mood. He played with his jumbo blocks and then went into the bathroom and decided to scoop up the cat's litter and put it in his water bowl... He used the dust pan to scoop up the litter. When DH caught him DS was pointing to the cat's water bowl saying "cacka cacka"...

Re: Question about the BRAT diet?
I ususally wait another day after the stool is normal...just to be sure to help and then slowly introduce regular foods. The key, at least with infants, is to not get to a point where they get constipated...which can happen on this diet.

That is what I want to avoid. He is 2...
He hasn't pooped today and now i'm wondering if he'll get constipated from the brat diet...
