Question about the stomach virus going around...
DS has it. Actually we all had it, but DH and I are over it now. DS is still suffering...the PED said it could last up to two weeks....but it is getting so sad! I have a call into the PED again today to make an appt, but if anyone else's DC had this, did you give them anything to make them feel better?? I should say, today is the first day in 6 days that he doesn't have diarhea, but he still threw up this morning I am starting to lose my mind!

Re: Question about the stomach virus going around...
It pretty much has to run its course.
DS (8 months) had it for Christmas. he only had diarhea (from 12/20--12/29), no throwing up or fever. We had to change his formula, we change to Similac Isomil Advance (soy) and he ate bananas, rice cereal and pedialyte.
But we had to change the formula again, he didn't like the soy and got tired of this menu and was refusing to eat, so as per Dr. I was allowed to give him oatmeal (his fav.) and change his formula to Enfamil LactoFree LIPIL (Milk-based and lactose-free).
Feel better little guy

Re: Question about the stomach virus going around...
DD had it right before New Years for 10 days. She would vomit several times - then have diarrhea with a break in vomiting that would go 16, 20, and once 48 hours long. But the diarrhea didn't end completely until the 10th day. It is horrible to watch them. Just do your best not to push the food or drinks too soon b.c it can set them backwards again. Otherwise unfortunately other than making sure they don't get dehydrated there isn't too much you can do for them
I hope your DS feels better soon
Etd to add DD never got a fever.
