Question about uterine polyp
Hi ladies, hubby and I have been TTC for 1 year with no success. My OB started testing on me and everything has been coming back perfect (blood work, HSG all normal) except I had a sono yesterday and it showed a questionable small polyp in my uterus. He's having me go in 2 weeks from now for a water sono to confirm for sure if it is a polyp and then said that it is he would do a D&C to remove it and that should fix the problem and hopefully allow me to get pregnant. I just wanted to hear stories from any of you ladies that had any experience with this. I'm nervous to have a D&C but would love to hear some success stories. Thanks!

Re: Question about uterine polyp
I had a polyp removed in May. Was nervous as well, but they put u under completely and the procedure takes around an hr. You just wake up already in the recovery room and go home around 2 hrs after. Going on the table in a big surgery room and having gazillion different healthcare professionals was scary, but honestly it was more intimidating than anything else. I didn't have any pain afterwards and was totally fine the next day. I did have a failed IVF cycle previously of them discovering the polyp, but then I took a few months off post the D&C and now after going thru an FET cycle I got my BFP. So I say its a good thing they discovered ur polyp and will remove it. As my Dr explained with polyp, implantation is a bit more tricky as a fertilized egg might think that there is already something implanted in ur uterus. So don't worry!

Question about uterine polyp
I had uterine polyps and fibroids removed also. The procedure is quick and you are out completely. I had minor cramping afterward( nothing that Advil couldn't take care of) and went back to work the next day... wish you the best of luck!!
