Question about washing bottles?
I have been hand washing DS bottles since day one. I usually would soak them in really hot water and use a baby safe dish soap I got at BRU. I would use a bottle brush for the bottles. Now that he is 6 months, I started washing his bottles in the dishwasher. I use Dr. Browns bottles only and got a dishwasher kit that holds all the parts. I just use Cascade.
Do you think it is okay to use the dishwasher to wash the baby bottles? Should I be using a more green dish detergent like Seventh Generation?
I'm just wondering what everyone else does. TIA

Re: Question about washing bottles?
I hand wash the bottles but only because I don't have a dishwasher. If I did- they'd be going in there!
I also use regular dish soap- nothing fancy!

Re: Question about washing bottles?
I handwash DS bottles with Method dish soap from BRU, no scent and no color... I guess its more "Green" and safe.... anyway and after I wash them, I sterelize them in the Microwave. I dont run my dishwasher everyday otherwise I would was in there with more natural dish soap.

Re: Question about washing bottles?
I hand wash them with a palmolive free and clear type of dish soap and very hot water. If our dishwasher worked, I would be putting them in there...washing bottles and all their little parts so annoying.

Re: Question about washing bottles?
I hand wash w/ VERY hot water (I wear gloves so I can do this) and wash with any old detergent. You wash it right off, I don't see the purpose in spending extra $$

Re: Question about washing bottles?
Dishwashers get them cleaner than hand-washing (water gets hotter than you can stand with hand-washing), plus it uses less water than hand-washing.
Unless it was for a single bottle that we needed, we always used the dishwasher.
