Question about what to pack for lunch on a plane...
We are travelling to FL & will be leaving the house @ 7am, will feed her bearkfast at the airport or on the plane (she eats around 9:30am), our flight is scheduled to land around 1:15ish, which is right around when she eats. My question, what can I pack for a 13 month old that will last from 7am (we can use one of those freezer lunch bags) until this time??? She's been kind of picky lately too., just my luck. Should I just do yogurt & ww bread? Maybe a jar of diced fruit along with it? You think yogurt will stay cold that long? How about meat ideas, though I guess I should forget meat, huh? I'd love some ideas thrown at me! Thanks!!!

Will she still eat the jarred baby foods? How about even the little toddler meals?

What about some low sodium turkey and cheese and some wheat bread?
Diced peaches are good too!

I always make Noah Philadelphia cream cheese sandwiches, those are always a hit. Or tuna, or egg salad...
Sandwiches are the way forward!

No, she's pretty much done w/ the pureed food. I was thinking about the pasta pickups or something, maybe just giving it to her room temp... The low-sodium turkey is a thought! Just bought some cheese too. Thanks ladies.

I personally would just buy something at the airport. Or give Nate one of those Gerber Cereal bars to tie him over until we get to our final destination. And feed him a full lunch an hour or so later.
But if you want to carry something with you, pack a turkey/cheese sandwich, wrap in foil then put it in a ziploc bag with a cold pak. You can bring fruit cup and a juice box to accompany the sanwhich.

I am not sure but I still don't think you can bring liquids on the plane so i don't think a juice box would work. I have no idea about thr fruit cup or the cold pack but if there is liquid in it they may not allow it.

I would just bring snacks too to tide her over until you can get her a real lunch. Easy things she can hold and eat herself.

Re: Question about what to pack for lunch on a plane...
yeah- i wouldnt go too crazy packing all kinds of food-maybe a banana and some cheerios, some easy snacks-maybe even ones that you usually wouldnt give (ritz minis w/PB or cheese, cookies etc) Im talking the unhealthy ones that they LOVE so maybe she'll behave extra well on the plane! bring some little cheap toys to keep busy too! I did this w/ my son at around the same age & every time he started to get a little antsy, Ill pull out another little toy-I did this the whole plane ride to FL-it - worked-kept him busy the whole time!
