Question about yeast infections and discharge?
This may be TMI but has anybody noticed a yellow discharge that ONLY comes out on the frontal part of the panties? I am used to wetness and other discharge as a regular part of being female but since I have been pg I have noticed a discharge that always comes as a circular spot on the front of my panties, not in the middle.
Weird...

are you sure it is not a UTI? I am not sure that a YI would be that much in front.

Any discharge thats not clear in color should be checked out. There are too many infections you can get during PG and a culture will tell if its anything like yeast etc.

It was confirmed by my midwife that it is a yeast infection. But she said unless it is itchy or burning (which it isn't) then to leave it alone.

Re: Question about yeast infections and discharge?
If you'd like to try & quell it, eat some yogurt with active cultures or take some acidophillus.

This usually helps and I know I have been eating too much sugary stuff.
Overall the discharge is not that annoying, but the placement just seemed weird.

the sugary stuff does take a toll. I know if I even so much as look at processed sugar I am in for it

Agreed. As long as it's not bothing you, just keep a check on it.

Re: Question about yeast infections and discharge?
I have that now but mine is giving me such discomfort (major burning, etc.) that I was told to take Monistat-7 by one of the docs in my OB group. I tried to stick it out as long as possible without meds, but it got to the point that I needed to do something. I guess if the condition worsens I would call back your midwife and ask if you could use a cream such as Monistat or something similar. It's supposedly pretty common to get these infections during pregnancy. Feel better!
