Re: Question Bottle and Pacfiers
I bought/got a microwave sterilizer for the bottles. Esp if i dont run my dishwasher daily, this is a good thing to have to have the bottles readily available and clean when needed.
Pops in the microwave and done in seconds.

Re: Question Bottle and Pacfiers
Most bottles can just be boiled in a pot of water on the stove..I always found that this was the easiest because it fit a lot more than the microwave did..Id have one pot going with the bottles and another pot with the nipples and the pacifiers...

Re: Question Bottle and Pacfiers
Sterilizer for us was a waste of time and money for us. You have to wash the bottles anyway before you put them in there.
We use hot/soapy water to wash the bottles everyday and once a month i throw them in the dishwasher by themselves.

Re: Question Bottle and Pacfiers
well, after reading that dishwashers don't always get hot enough to sterilize, I decided on a sterilizer. Plus, I don't have a dishwasher!
I bought an electric version because I am skeptical about the microwave. I played with it when I bought it, but will likely sterilize them all over again after i come home from the hospital. I know many say you never use it, but since I can't use a dishwasher ever, I want to be able to really clean them without boiling them.
If I end up using pacifiers, I plan to throw them in my sterilizer as well.

Re: Question Bottle and Pacfiers
I always put them in an open pot and boiled them for 5 minutes.

Re: Question Bottle and Pacfiers
I went to a BRU class and the pediatrician doing the class told us not to bother with a sterilizer. Just hot water and soap.
