Question for BTDT Moms Who Had Gliders in Nursery...
Did you match the glider wood color to your furniture? We have white nursery furniture and were planning on doing a white wood with a lt beige fabric. Now our special order can't be done (long story.) What color is your glider in comparison to your furniture - esp if you did white furniture?
Any pics would be great!

We did not do white furniture, but our glider is a dark wood and the rest is a pine type color.
I honestly never even thought about it, my SMIL bought the glider as a surprise at my shower...

I tried to match but couldn't exactly.
We have espresso furniture and a black glider. The difference IMO (and I am picky) is totally unnoticeable.
I have a friend that bought an inexpensive natural glider and painted it white herself and it looks AWESOME!
You could always go that route

We have white furn. and did an upholstered glider with no wood- it looks more like a regular chair. Love how it looks!

Light blue/white bedding
Beige glidder. I had the choice to do it blue but at the time we were planning for another child and wanted neutral.

white furniture and oak glider, we didnt want a white glider b/c we knew eventually it wasnt going to stay in my DS room. and sure enough we just moved it into our room last week. We felt like the oak would be nice and neutral in any room we decided to put it in after we were done using it for the kids

We have espresso furniture and our glider is a neutral color. IMO if the colors work for a Coach bag, then it would work in the nursery
P.S. we got our glider/ottoman off of craigs list for $50 so I wasnt going to go nuts over matching the wood!

It's the same as the furniture, but I don't think its a big deal if it doesn't match - the glider won't stay in the room forever!

Ours is more of a lounge chair - it is brown corduroy. I chose this so that when it is no longer needed in the nursery, we can use it in our living room.
ETA: it is very similar to the one eddiesmommy posted, but brown.

We didnt. We got the glider and crib as a hand-me-down. They're both a lighter wood color. I knew that i wanted DDs furniture to be white (i already had her 'big girl' room in mind when planning it out  ) so i didnt want to get it in that light wood color just to match, when the glider and crib will be moved out of there eventually anyway. I like the way it came out- its not matchy matchy, but doesn't really stand out as being different, either.

We have dark furniture (cherry) and an oak glider. We got the glider on clearance at BRU w/ an extra 15% off coupon, so there was NO WAY we were passing up the deal to match furniture.
