Re: question for girls who had a Chemical ....
Are you saying you didn't bleed more than normal or you didn't hardly bleed at all. Most people would get a normal bleed after a chemical - I did with both chemicals. There isn't enough time for a thick lining to build up and shed.

well when AF was supposed to arrive i bled for 2 days... ( i already had gotten the BFP) ... the bleeding was normal ... like i had AF.. BUT..why i still wonder is.. i had beta's AFTER the bleeding for 2 days and it did go up twice.. if i did indeed pass it at that time.. i dont know how the numbers would have went up...
then probably about a week later i bled a little more.. but that time it was VERY light.. not much at all..
sorry if its confusing..
thanks for you help Gerty!

Re: question for girls who had a Chemical ....
Not sure about your current situation but I had a chemical a few years ago and I bled like a normal period. A chemical is not the same as a miscarriage bleeding wise- because like the previous poster said there isnt enough of a lining built up to shed. A lot of women dont even know they had a chemical unless they test early...they just think their period is a few days late

Your beta was probably going up just based on the hormones in your system. If you bled a normal period when you were supposed to, that was the chemical passing. It's not unusual to have a rising beta after a chemical - I had it with my first chemical. The second bleed was most likely the final shedding of your lining.

Re: question for girls who had a Chemical ....
I bled for 8 days, the first two days were heavy, then it was on and off for the next 6 days. Some days it was like spotting, other days it would be like a regular period. I also had a rise in beta at one point too.

I also just bled for a week... the first 3 days was heavier than AF, but then it lightened up.

Re: question for girls who had a Chemical ....
I didn't necessarily bleed a lot, but I bled for a long time (21 days to be exact). The night at the hospital my betas were a 430something...3 days later they were a 260something. I didn't do anymore bloodwork, just followed up to make sure everything was cleaning itself out properly.
The night I ended up at the DR and ER (because I thought something was wrong with my period, and not becuase I was miscarrying)...When I said I was bleeding alot, they said so like 2 or 3 pads an hour? I replied, no like 2 or 3 pads a day, which normally only happens one day for a normal period. I''m generally a light bleeder.

Re: question for girls who had a Chemical ....
I also had a chemical and the same happened to me-I had my levels tested, they weren't going up. Then, a week later my numbers went up to 231. Dr. was confused, but I did end up having a natural M/C..I ended up bleeding for a longer time b/c of cysts hemorrhaging..
Good luck to you and I am sorry you're going through this!
