Question for mommies of children that go to DC
How did you go about looking for childcare? I am currently 5 months and am looking to go back to work after the baby is born. I really don't know anyone in my neighborhood as we are pretty new to it. Thanks so much! Liz

Visits are key IMO. So many DC centres looked good "on-paper" but when I saw them it was not what I was looking for. I also use the nys site to track who has violations.

I always say this - when you walk into the room, how do the babies look at you? If they smile and are excited to see you - even though they don't know you - thats a good sign that they have really learned that everyone in their room is nice and will take good care of them!!!

..or they could be smiling because they are hoping you will get them the hell out of there
Where do you live OP? That would probably help as far as recommendations.
