Question for moms who's babies use a jumper

I just bought DD the FP Jumperoo and put her in it a little bit each day but she still doesn't jump. She can spin around and play with the toys, but no jumping.

If I pull her legs and make her bounce she loves it, but won't do it herself.

How long did it take your DC to figure this out? I think DD is LAZY!!!!!!!!!

It didn't take DS long to learn what to do, maybe a week or so, but he never really got into it and for him it was a waste, he loved his exersaucer! Hopefully the next one will like the jumper!

Re: Question for moms who's babies use a jumper

Nikolas seemed to know immediately what to do as far as jumping goes.. but I've noticed lately that he doesn't jump as much.. just twirls around, bounces a little and plays with the toys a lot more..

She'll get the hang of it soon -- or maybe she just isn't a jumperoo type of girl and likes the exersaucer better ?

I use to push it up and down for him and he got the hang of it with in a few days. He loved his jumper and I was sad to see it go when he out grew it.

She looks so cute in there!

My girls still have not figured out the jumping thing. I think it is skill they have to learn like when they lock their legs.

Steven is a MADMAN in the jumper. He knew almost immediately what to do. Now, the whole thing shakes and he goes absolutely wild. he has two...one at my moms and one at home.

I think she'll get it. It's better than her lying down and at least she's getting the stimulation from the toys around it.

On the other hand, we put him in the walker and he had no clue what to do! Now he moves in it, but not using walking motions...he hops around Chat Icon

she is sooooo cute by the way Chat Icon

is it all the way down to the lowest level? Make sure its low enough for her legs to bend. Thats the only thing I can think of. Maybe she needs entertainment to make her jump. perhaps you can stand on your head...LOL Chat Icon Chat Icon

We yell bouncy, bouncy, bouncy too! lol! And I jump up and down too - I must look like the biggest idiot. It took her about 2-3 weeks to figure it out but now she LOVES to jump in there. She even tries to jump in the exesaucer!
