Question for mom's who's baby shower wasn't a surprise...
If your shower wasn't a surprise, how did you show up to the party? Were you there already and just greeted everyone as they arrived? If you did something like having DH bring you there, what did people say when you walked in? Obviously they wouldn't yell surprise.  Not sure how to approach this. TIA!

I knew when it was, but not where it was. So I still brought by someone and arrived arrived after the guests.
I don't think I would feel comfortable being there first and greeting the guests. I'd feel like I was hosting it, which would make me feel uncomfortable about accepting gifts - but I can be weird about those things

I was there to greet people as they walked in. I drove myself there because we were going to need as many cars as we could to bring the stuff home.

My sister and I went out for mani/pedis and I arrived at the shower about 45mins after the guests. When I got there, everyone still yelled surprise- even though everyone knew it wasn't. I guess they wanted to keep with the 'tradition'.

I showed up about 1/2 hour late and everyone just clapped/cheered when I walked in. Same at my sisters bridal shower a few weeks ago that wasnt a surprise. (she found out a few weeks before)

I was there before everyone to greet people. My Mom was pi$$ed. She wanted it to be a surprise. But I was the one who picked the date and where to have it...

My friend's shower wasn't a surprise and she was there when it started to greet people. Mine wasn't a surprise either but I went into labor the day before so I never made it . If I would have made it, my mother was making me show up 15-20 minutes later (the decorations were a surprise I guess  ).
