Re: Question for the mommies
I have 2 kids and Pg with # 3 and I have to say the life saver for me was the boppy pillow.my son is 4 and we just had to buy him a newone because he sleeps with him every night..
As for a waste I would have to say too many outfits in the beginning unless the kids are going to daycare or will be out all the time because you will be working but you dont dress them up everyday when there home there usually in onsies or PJS not fancy outfits.. so exchange the outfits for later on..

Re: Question for the mommies
We did not get a ton of stuff, but of what we have I found the swaddle blankets a waste and preferr the halo (swaddle me Kailey kicks out of in 3 minutes!) I ordered a miracle blanket, so maybe I'll like that even more)
She is starting to sit in the bouncer and swing, so hoefully she will like them and they won't be a waste of money.
I need my boppy for BF.
I did not get a wipe warmer, or diaper genie and her poopy does not stink up the place.
much of her clothes she has not worn yet. When we are home it's mostly onesees. (you change the diapers like 15+ times a day, so the easier the better!)

Re: Question for the mommies
If you're BF then a Boppy is a necessity - I actually went and bought a second one for the second story of the house so I don't have to carry it around.
I also was surprised to find how much newborn stuff I really needed. I didn't have any knowing Ryan was predicted to be about 8lbs and he was 10 days early at 7lb8oz. He is now 3wks plus and still in that size. I had to get about 15-20 outfits b/c he goes through them so often (literally poops)

Waste: wipes warmer bottle sterilizer diaper genie swing
Life saver: Boppy (if you are BF) bassinet sling for carrying him
Don't have a changing table and don't need on. I change on our bed since he sleeps in his bassinet next to us,

Re: Question for the mommies
This is such a great thread. I am going to be starting the registery process soon and I am having a lot of anxiety.
It is interesting seeing all the input. Any other mommies want to share?
