question for those at LI IVF
when you go in for day 3 bloods, do you see a doc? bloods only, no sono. Jsut asking since I hopefully will be starting something next cycle. I was told to come in cd 3 and will start fertility meds then. but - didn't say what meds, or anything - I have a whole bunch of questions. so will I see a doc that day to ask? or should I call this month? in LAke Sucess office, if that makes a difference. seeing dr. brenner

Re: question for those at LI IVF
if i remember correctly you will probably go over everything with a nurse and not dr. brenner. they will go over meds and fax the order to the pharmacist for you. are you doing ivf? if so, they will set up a time to do an injection teaching class with you.
i think i saw dr. brenner for initial consult, water sono, endo biopsy, transfer, next consult (since it was a bfn) to decide what to do next.
the nurses go over most of everything and gail, the nurse practitioner does a lot of the sonos.
good luck with everything and please feel free to fm me if you need more specific information.

I never saw an RE on day CD 3. The nurses and nurse practitioner handle it. If I had a question the doctor would usually call me inthe afternoon.

Re: question for those at LI IVF
you probably won't see an dr then. they can't talk to you about what kind of cycle you're doing until they know the results of those tests, so I don't think the dr will now what to talk about in the am anyway. Also, make sure you get all the other tests done before then. We had to do SA and also the schedule the test to see if your tubes are open, I do't remember what its called. no sense wasting months on IUI's spending thousands of dollars if your tubes are blocked. Good Luck...
