Re: Question for those that rent in NYC - 1Br
My company has an apartment on the Midtown West - 40s. We pay $2400 for the one bedroom, over $4K for the 2 bedroom. The current going rate for a 1 bedroom in the building is now starting at $3100.
No idea on the sq. footage. They have a gym you can join, business center, laundry, doormen, coffee & fruit in the lobby every morning.
Oh & the 1 bedroom has a balcony. 2 bedroom does not.

Re: Question for those that rent in NYC - 1Br
That's what we pay for our 980 sq foot apartment, with two full baths, one bedroom, large living space and dining area. BUT, rent his going up to $3700 next year, so we're moving out of NYC. We have lived in the building only for one year, but when we were looking, this was the best price for the size of our apt. We love it and the building and are sad to leave.
My building does have smaller apartments that rent for less, and the building has all the amenities you're looking for. It's on 94th and 1st, and it's The Chesapeake. www.chesapeakenyc.com

Re: Question for those that rent in NYC - 1Br
i live on the UES (75th & 2nd) in a 1BR with gym and roof deck and pay $2568 (just raised from $2400 for the previous 2 yrs). our apt is pretty small, my guess would be like 650sq ft, but from what they told us in the rental office, we'd be paying a fair amount more if we were just moving into the bldg. rents are just out of control right now.

I know that my building's management company has 1 bedroom apartments in midtown in that price range with a gym and some apartments with balconies. Here's their website: Management Co.
