Question for those that use the bath as part of the nightime routine
What do you do on nights where the baby doesn't get a bath? Do you bathe them everyday?

Re: Question for those that use the bath as part of the nightime routine
I give him a bath every night. If we are out late we'll skip it, then we just go on with the routine as usual (pj's, bottle).

Re: Question for those that use the bath as part of the nightime routine
We intentionally never started a bedtime routine that we couldn't maintain, for just that reason. Plus, bathing DC every night dries out their skin, so you really shouldn't do it every night anyway, or so I've heard.

Re: Question for those that use the bath as part of the nightime routine
If I don't give him a bath that night, we play for a little while before getting ready for bed. He knows that he gets his milk once his PJS are on, so the routine is really PJs, milk, books, bed.

Re: Question for those that use the bath as part of the nightime routine
We bathe DS everynight except on Friday and Saturday. We bathe him the next morning. I get him dress for bad as usual only I put on the nightime lotion that I do when I bathe him and follow the rest of the night as normal.

Re: Question for those that use the bath as part of the nightime routine
We started bath every other night when her umbilical cord fell off and then when she was 9 weeks EVERY NIGHT even if we get home really late.
Its amazing she knows when she gets a bath that its time for bed and she automatically relaxes!

Re: Question for those that use the bath as part of the nightime routine
Logan has gotten a bath every night since he started taking real baths.
He's 2 now.
We only occassionally skip it if something is going on and in those cases we just do all the rest of the routine.

Re: Question for those that use the bath as part of the nightime routine
We were doing it every night but DS has terribly dry skin, so now we only do it 2-3 times a week. They adjusted just fine to not having a bath as part of the routine.

we do this exact same thing...i will say though, i dont always WASH her every nite..i dont want to dry her skin out..i usually just use soap every other nite, and let her play in the warm water the other nites in between..i do tend to wash her hair though since she likes to spit up in it frequently
