Question for those who've used Gonal-
Do you just throw finished pens away? Also, what about all the extra needles that come in the box? Should I just throw them away?

I always threw the pens in my sharps container. and kept putting the billion extra needles in a zip lock bag and threw them out at my RE's office. You probably don't have to. Since needles aren't used and the pen has no needle attached. I just felt weird throwing them out in the garbage.

I had my mail order company send me a red plastic container for 'sharps'. You can also use an old laundry bottle - something that's thick so that they don't poke thru. When it's full I'm going to ask my dr's office what to do with them. I didn't think they were supposed to go in the regular garbage. HTH!
