Question for those with a laptop...
I have an IBM Thinkpad. I am on it A LOT. Anyway, the "left click" button below the mouse is now permanently in the down position--there is no more clicking though I can still use it. Is this usual? The "right click" button is still in the full upright position...

Re: Question for those with a laptop...
I use a separate wireless mouse and I have never had that happen to with other laptops I have owned.

Re: Question for those with a laptop...
I'd call the manufacturer. I have a laptop and when things go wrong with it, I freak. I give computer techies a LOT of credit!!!
Call the company - tech support.

Re: Question for those with a laptop...
I'm on my 2nd laptop. I had a Compaq and had so many problems with it and the company sucked....
But you can get a wireless mouse for it.

Re: Question for those with a laptop...
Call the company. I used to be a hardware tech, and they should be able to replace it, if it's under warranty. Otherwise, you should be able to enable the "tap" feature, where you don't have to click, you just tap the left button. I have to figure out how to do it before I tell you how, though -- it's been a while.
Or, if you have one, just connect an external mouse.

GOOD with backing up... that's SO smart. This piece of CRAP (Hp - my Dell that I had sucked a$$ too) crashed on me three times already, and I finally learned to back everything up. PLUS I have an external hard drive that I only keep connected when I'm using it.
