Question of The Day--1/12/07
This is a simple one. I am moving today/tomorrow and Bella was up at 5 am, henceforth the easy...
If you could work no less than 35-40 hours a week however you could split the time, how would you do it?
I would do 4 ten hour days
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri
off on Sat/Sun and Wed
I may change this based on someone else's creativity

I would prob do the same thing..4 10 hour days. BUt I would prob take Tues or Fridays off so that when MOnday holidays come, I would get 4 days weekends!!

My in between job (before I returned to my old company) was four nine hour days, one four hour day which was not bad - it was great having half days on Friday.

I'd work mon, tues, wed, thurs and have fri-sat-sun off. Then for monday holidays I'd have 4-day weekends!!

I work 3 twelve hour days now. I love it, but I doing 3 days in a row is really tough, because I am on my feet all day. I would do Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in a dream world but it doesn't always work out that way for me!

I used to do that and I had Mondays off all the time which was good, but I think having Fridays off would have been better. A lot of places are closed on Mondays so I couldn't always get all of my errands done.

I kind of do this now with 25 hour a week. I only work Tues, Wed, and Thurs. I LOVE having Mondays and Fridays to be with my DD. If I had to work 35 hours I would do 9 hour days four days a week with Fridays off for a total of 36 hours a week. I love having a long weekend every week!

Right now, I work 9 hour days and have off every other Friday (8 hours on the on-Friday). It's very easy to work the extra hour every day, and the Fri off is nice. I would probably like to do 10 hour days and have off every Friday. I'm not sure if I could go 12 hour days. I would never see my kids during the week. yes, long weekends are nice, but so is shorter workdays during the week.

This is the way companies should work. As long as you do the amount of time you need in a workweek, it shouldn't matter how you work those hours, as long as the work gets done. I think a lot more people would be happier this way.
