Question on Howard Stern today - curious of your thoughts - who has more power?
When it comes to paying for services - stripping, escorting, prostituting, lap dancing, etc - who is the one with more power and more in control?
On howard, they were saying the one with the money is always the one in charge and with the power...
I sort of feel that in those situations, it depends - the one with the money can aklso be seen as the sucker, paying for it, right?
what are your thoughts?

I say the payer - b/c without the $, there is no "service" to begin with.

I Would say the payer, in many situations these girls will service according to what the payer is willing to give but some girls i guess can be incontrol too

I think they both have power in their own way.
The payer since he/she has the money
The payees since they have to perform the service after being paid (around payees paid 1st?). Another power is that they can always "tell on the payers" later.

I would honestly have to say it depends upon the situation...
When you get into the situation where the guy is putting himself into debt "paying for it" who has the power then??? Especially when he prefers the attentions of just one "special lady".

I say the payee.
Without the payee, the payer has no one to provide the service.
The payee is there to fulfill a need.
FTR, my husband thinks the payer has the power.

Agreed. Although, some of Richard and Sal's prank calls are funny.. I love when they have Big Foot calling Big Foot.

"Money" is a relative term. Both parties are bartering. One person has cash, but not the body parts they want. The other one has the body parts, but not the money.
Like in any business transaction, the person who needs/wants the other item more is the one with the least control over the transaction. Since most people have a way of getting more money, I would say the payee would have more control. If this deal falls through, it's not that hard to get someone else to pay.

In general the person with the money is the one who creates the demand that enables the payee to have a job.
Having said that I think the level of power depends on the level of desperation on the part of either party.
In a typical 'strip club' scenario - you have a bunch of horny guys who are willing to throw away whatever amount they need to in order to see naked boobs. The girl has bouncers and guards making sure that nobody touches her. How 'in control' are these guys who are begging the chick to just 'touch them'? At that moment she is totally in control.
But that power can totally turn on her in a moment of desperation - that second that she decides to whisper in his ear "Meet me out back at 2am and for another $$ I will do..." Once he knows that she is willing to go wherever he wants for the right price... he has regained the power position.

I completely agree. It depends on the level of desperation of the payee.
In a case where it's do it or there is no food on the table or in a worst case scenario of a sex slave, without question they are powerless.

I would say the payer during the act, afterward the payee if the payer has anything at stake, like reputation, family, job, etc.
