Question on Peanut Free food & labels
If the label on the ingredient doesn't mention anything about peanuts, is it safe for someone with peanut allergy to eat? Usually it'll say if it's made on equipment shared with peanut products or may contain peanuts but I don't see that on the label.
Also, can you recommend a peanut free frozen mac & cheese and chicken nugget that I can buy in a store? It's for my son's birthday party. I have two guests who have peanut allergies. TIA!

Question on Peanut Free food & labels
DS has a peanut allergy so i read all labels. i believe it is required by law for them to list ingredients that are known allergens. i am not sure if they are required to list if they are made on equipment that also produces items with peanuts or tree nuts, but most companies do this.
my rule of thumb for DS is, if i'm not 100% sure, i don't give it to him. i would call the company and ask them directly. A lot of websites also contain this information because allergies are so much more common now. you can let the parents know ahead of time what you will be serving. they may have experience with the brands but may also want to check the labels themselves (so keep all packing/labels if possible). unfortunately, companies change their manufacturing processes all the time so what may have been safe last week may not be safe today.
i have to say, it's so sweet of you to take this into consideration for your son's birthday party! sorry i don't have recommendations for which brands are safe. my son must be the only kid who doesn't like chicken nuggets!

Re: Question on Peanut Free food & labels
Earths Best and Annie's should have those products peanut free.
If peanut is not listed on the label it should be safe to eat. I believe it is required by law to list
