question on rice cereal - first time
Please forgive the cluelessness, but I am so new at this. The pediatrician gave the ok to start rice cereal (DS is 4 months old). The sheet the ped. gave us says to mix 2-3 tbsp w/ formula. How much formula? Do I make a bottle of formula and just mix some of it w/ the 2-3 tbsp rice cereal and spoon feed it to him? I'm totally not with it here. I know I'm supposed to spoon feed him, but am not sure of how much formula to use. Thanks in advance.

Re: question on rice cereal - first time
The first time we tried cereal, we were told to make it really soupy -there's less of a chance the baby will gag or push it out.
With that said, we made a bottle first, and added milk until it was loose enough for our liking. Once the baby is used to the texture of cereal, you can make it more solid.
Good Luck!
