Question/Poll about bedding for those on "team green"...
So for those not finding out the sex of the baby, what are you doing about bedding...
-Getting neutral bedding/doing a neutral room?
-Choosing one boy and one girl bedding and returning the one you don't use? And if you did/are doing this will you register for both or no?
-Waiting until after the baby is born to buy bedding?
We will most likely be finding out before the baby is born (at my NY shower at around 30 weeks probably), but in case we don't I'm curious to know what you did/will do.
The room we're using for the nursery is already painted yellow, which we're keeping but not sure what to do about bedding yet. If you did/are doing a yellow room, i'd love to see pics! Thanks.

The room is already painted green from when we painted the house when we bought it. WE chose neutral colors for the 2nd 3rd and 4th bedroom b/c we new we wouldn't find out.
There are some nice neutral bedding out there. My cousin bought both and returned after. My sister who has four kids went to her house when the baby was born and did all the bedding for her.

Re: Question/Poll about bedding for those on "team green"...
I'm registering for a yellow gingham blanket and yellow and white sheets.
I wasn't planning on doing a full blown bedding set anyway since they seem expensive for what's included and since so many people say the heavy comforter that comes with most are a waste.
I was almost swayed by a really cute Pooh set I saw at BRU but it's $189 for a sheet, bumper, dust ruffle and blanket ... but if you break it down it's $48 per item - which is just crazy in my opinion.

Re: Question/Poll about bedding for those on "team green"...
I just bought neutral bedding and decorated the room in neutral colors. This is what we did for my daughter - we did the same theme for her room in our new house, which we will be using for the new baby. At that point, I'll move her into a new room and decorate it however she wants (i.e. pink and purple).
This is what we did with baby #1 when we had no idea what we were having Image Attachment(s):

I'm going to pick out what I want for a or and order it after. The wall color will be neutral. I don't plan to have baby in his/her room for a while so it doesn't bother me that it won't be decorated beforehand. Plus, it's not like they actually use their bedding aside from the sheet

It's called Sammy the Frog by Brandee Danielle - I LOVED it and totally plan on using it again with this baby. I picked up the set at Baby Depot for pretty cheap, though I can't remember how much exactly.

Sammy the Frog by Brandee Danielle - bought it at Baby Depot. They had it for the cheapest, though you can't buy it online - it was in the store only. Also bought the crib there, and the rest of the furniture at BRU.

Re: Question/Poll about bedding for those on "team green"...
I did neutral and knew I was having a boy because I knew I wanted more children. I always wanted to get something that I could use again - if I wanted or need to.
With DC#3 I'm using my second son's bedding because he had Winnie the Pooh. We think #3 is a girl (long story) but I can put up butterflies, etc. to girl it out a bit.

Re: Question/Poll about bedding for those on "team green"...
We painted the room a light green and picked out two beddings. Once DS was born my mother went out the next day and purchased the bedding.

Re: Question/Poll about bedding for those on "team green"...
our office was freshly painted a sage green before we found out we were pregnant so regardless of the sex we were not going to repaint it... we registered for a neutral bedding and then we exchanged it for bedding after the baby was born!!
our nursery room was going to be sage and cream but once my Mady was born we went with a sage and pink theme. we are almost done getting the room all set. cant wait! will post pics soon!
btw, i totally vote for team ! it is soooo worth the suspense!!! fromt he beginning i was convinced i was having a boy!! and everyone told me i was having a boy b.c of the way i was carrying and because i had virtually no morning sickness. needless to say i was sooooooo in shock when i pushed out a you can always register for nuetral and then exchange after the baby is born b/c not knowing is sooooooooo AMAZING!

Re: Question/Poll about bedding for those on "team green"...
We're and going neutral with the nursery. This is our first child and plan to have more so I'd keep it the same. Plenty of opportunity to have a gender specific room growing up. However... if you look at my choices (pics in album) some may say that our furniture leans girl and bedding leans boy so it will balance.
These days, I'm not the type for a pastel baby room. I'm into the more bold statements in nurseries like chocolate brown and rich colors. DH and I have a few of our old childhood toys so I want a vintage/classic toy feel... radio flyer wagons, red tricycles, tin tops. The bedding will be sock monkey. And will maybe have black and white baby/childhood pics of us (one of which is me with my sock monkey and blanky I came home from the hospital in) with added pics of baby.
I see it kind of as "my" nursery... where I will be... a lot... caring for baby and want things that will calm and please me! When baby #2 comes, baby #1 will get his or her own gender specific room and I will still have my nursery. When we are done having babies, I shall deal with it then!

We are going with gender neutral bedding so we can have it for any future children as well.
