Question re. big 1st birthdays?
Did you do anything to "entertain" everyone? We have a guest list of 70 people so far, from babies up to 12 yr old kids and adults... I'm doing lunch and cake and stuff, but I don't know if I need to do something to keep everyone busy. TIA!

Re: Question re. big 1st birthdays?
Our friends had a big 1st birthday for their son in a restaurant and they hired a clown to entertain the children. I have to say he was a hit. They all seemed to enjoy it and the kids were all different ages. The clown made balloon animals and kept the children participating in his little songs and things.

We also have been places with clowns. There was also a LARGE castle (ya know the things the kids jump in) set up right outside (good thing it was warm out and no it wasnt in January). Maybe a DJ who plays only (mostly) kiddy music. What about a magician?

Re: Question re. big 1st birthdays?
I had mine in my brothers backyard so there was alot to do. I do know however that Little People Entertainment has a singer Mr. Bruce. He is SOOOO GREAT with the kids.

We had about 70 people and hired Small World Entertainment to do a puppet show and balloon animals and tattoos, they were a HUGE hit with the kids (about 15) and adults too. It helped make the party 'move along' and no one was bored!

Re: Question re. big 1st birthdays?
Thanks Curley!! I think we might do that! Sounds like fun... which show did you do? I'm thinking either the Sing a Silly Song or Einstein in Motion...

Re: Question re. big 1st birthdays?
We had a hard time deciding between those 2 as well, but we went with Sing a Silly Song and it was great. They had all the characters and familiar songs that the kids knew. I would highly recommend them, they showed up early, had great personalities, a nice stage setup, and really spend time with the kids to make sure they ALL had fun.

Re: Question re. big 1st birthdays?
That's the one I was leaning towards because I know the older kids will know the songs! OK, I think I've got it.... We're going to use these plates and use the rubber ducky for things as well as the goody bags.... paper tablecloths with crayons... I'm on my way

Oh well, the Sing a Silly Song is booked, I think we'll go with the 123 Sesame... or maybe the Einstein, I can't decide

I thought the 123 Seseme looked great, but it said that it had extra props and I didnt think we would have room at the resturant for anything extra, but if space is not an issue I would pick 123 Seseme only because it would be familair to all the kids
