Question re: buying an open-ended plane ticket
I know this board gets more activity so I'm posting this here...
My Mom lives out of state and I'm going to fly her up when the baby is born. I'd like to buy a ticket with an open ended return date so she can fly back when ever she wants.
Anyone know if I can do this?

I know you can, but I don't know how it works. I can try and find out for you - my friend has done it for her family members a bunch of times

Call the airline....I know on Southwest and Jet Blue it is easier to do a one way ticket and when she is ready to go home, get another one way ticket. And when you add up the 2 one way tickets, it usually comes out to be what the round trip would have been.

Re: Question re: buying an open-ended plane ticket
We just did it recently and we just bought one way tickets and then bought another one way back home. They were extremely expensive though.
