I just went in to a place an accepted what they offered.
I think I might have gotten more $ if I shopped around, but I figured:
It's kinda found money, and I shouldnt get so greedy... so I just took the offer they gave me

i shopped around - only two places - and i am glad i did, i got about 25% more with the second place! 
good old gold in massapequa is where i ended up selling my gold

I just sold mine this weekend...went to Flea Market, I went to one booth and made $2k.
If I walked away, he wasnt going to offer me the same so I stuck with that.

Yes, at least that is what my guy did. The gold is what they want and my stones were crap.

Yes, at least that is what my guy did. The gold is what they want and my stones were crap.
cool..I have two rings..the gold is substantial but there are tiny diamonds and an opal in one and tiny diamonds and a ruby in the other.

A guy who works with my DH at the firehouse buys gold and treasury bonds. When I gave him all my gold last week it was at 850 an ounce. We did better by him because he doesn't charge what other places charge to take the gold.

another guy offered me $280
went to budget buy and sell, and got $400 for the SAME amount of gold!

i was offered $680 at Commack Jewelry exchange - my jeweler in the city took it for $1200.

i went there too- its in patchogue on main street... i got $500. i didnt shop around.
