Question re: trigger IUI- IVF
Just for my own curiosity...Why is it that with IVF the trigger is done 35-36 hours before retrieval but with IUI it is done (at my RE anyway) like 24 hrs before ?...Is it because with IUI it is more successful if the sperms are waiting for the egg ?...Sorry if this sounds dumb, I was just thinking about it and am probably overlooking the obvious

My understanding is that Ovidrel causes ovulation within 36 hours. This month I did IUI's 24 and 48 hours after Ovidrel to cover the bases.

Every Re is different. My RE did trigger and then one iui 36 hrs. later. some do the trigger and 2 iui's 24 and 48 hrs. and i think some even do iui's at 12 and 36 hrs. after trigger
