Question regarding first RE visit

I am very anxious to get this whole process going.....with that being said, will my RE start me on meds right away to treat my PCOS? Did your doctor?

I already have CD3 (baseline) blood work done from my last cycle (if that helps).

TIA

PS - Today is my appointment -- FINALLY!!! Chat Icon

Re: Question regarding first RE visit

I know my doctor waited to start meds until the third day of my next cycle. I think that's when all meds usually start so you would probably wait until CD3 of the next cycle. (But don't hold me to that! Chat Icon )
Good luck today.

If they put you on metformin then they'll give you that right away most likely since you have recent bloodwork (as long at it's the right blood tests that were done). STOP BEING NERVOUS!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon It'll be fine. I'm sure of it!

Re: Question regarding first RE visit

Thank you!
I know it's kind of silly to be nervous -- but after my last horrible experience with my gyno, I'm scared.

I want to walk out of there informed and on the right track to being PG.

Re: Question regarding first RE visit

They'll probably start you on Metformin right away. You never know, they may test you for other stuff. Expect an internal!!!

Lots of luck!!
