question regarding obgyn & affiliated hospitals
I am not pregnant yet but we are going to begin trying within the year.
I have been going to the same obgyn for about 6-7 years now & I really like her & feel comfortable with her. The only thing is that I do not feel comfortable possibly delivering a baby at the hospital she is affiliated with as well as having this hospital give me care after delivery or having them care for my newborn.
Do doctors usually ONLY work in their affiliated hospitals or can I have her go to another hospital for delivery? OR should I begin searching for a new obgyn asap who is affiliated with a better hospital?

I'm fairly certain they ONLY deliver at their affiliated hospitals.... but it's not uncommon for a Dr to have affiliations with more than 1 hospital.....

thanks, this is what I thought. I checked online & the only hospital affiliation that she has is the one hospital that I do not want to go to.
