Question regarding RSVP etiquette

Invitations for my DH surprise party have been out for over a month. Today is the RSVP date, there are still 16 couples/people who have yet to respond.

My question, is tomorrow too early to call these people or should I wait until Monday?

If it's past the RSVP date and you need to know, tomorrow's not a big deal.

I agree - for my wedding I called people the evening of the RSVP date. I needed to know THAT day, that's why I made it the RSVP date...
