Questions about shower
Okay, DH and I decided we're going to pay for my baby shower ourselves. My questions are:
1- Would it be odd to still play games knowing that I am technically the hostess?
2- Is it bad to put my name as the RSVP person? If so, what should I do?
Should I just arrange with a friend to be the "hostess"?
I love being surprised, but there were a lot of issues and drama that came out during the planning of my bridal shower, and other issues, not directly related to the shower (too much to get into).
I'd appreciate any and all advice on how to do this without looking greedy.
TIA!!!
ETA: I'd love to have my mom or best friend as hostess, but they loth live out of state (mom is in Illinois, BF is in Virginia).

Re: Questions about shower
I think that even if your Mom or friend live out of state, if they will be coming into town for the shower that either of them can act as hostess. My sister was the hostess of mine, and she lives in NC. People RSVP'd to her with no problem.

Re: Questions about shower
1 - I don't think it's odd that you play games. You can do the old "Bingo" game or something like that that you don't have to facilitate - they can just play on their own.
2 - As far as RSVP - maybe you can list DH instead of yourself. That might take away some of the weirdness for you and your guests.
