questions for girls who had miscarriage

my doc told me to wait 2 cycles before trying again.. i have read many stories online of people getting pregnant right after their d&c.. what has everyone's docs told them and has anyone not listened? TIA

I was alson told to wait 2 cycles. My Dr. Told me that you need to give you body time to build up the uterine lining again, and get all hormomes back to normal or it could threaten the viability of another pregnancy. THere are debated theories on whether or not this is true.

I actaully waited a lot longer. I Waited about 6 months after because I needed to heal not just physically but emotionally. I dond't want to go into a new pregnancy terrified about losing it so I gave my self some time to heal and get healthy again!

i was told by my doctor to wait 1 cycle.. just so my body can get back in shape.. and if i do get PG after that cycle they have something to go on as far as the due date, etc..

now, some doctors also suggest waiting longer than 1 cycle is because of your mental state.. for myself , there is no way i can wait longer than 1 cycle. i have heard from women on here that did not wait and had successful pregnancies.

I was told 1 cycle but I didn't have a D&C. My MD said to wait 3 if I had to have the D&C. I think I would have waited at least 2.

I had a D&C and my doc told me that I should wait for at least 1 complete cycle to finish if I was eager to jump right back into ttc again...

He strongly recommended that I try to wait 3 cycles, though, so that I would be fully healed physically & maybe a little bit more emotionally. He also said that it would give me a chance to really get to know my cycle again.

I'm up in the air as to what we're going to do...I'm not ready yet, but I may be in a few more weeks, so we'll see...

I miscarried naturally & my doctor said nothing about waiting to start again. We tried again right away, as soon as the miscarriage ended.

I had a D&C and my doc recommended I wait the two cycles and I did.

I was told to wait two cycles but we had a trip to Vegas and well.... we weren't careful.
But Grace was born nine months later and still is perfectly healthy!

My new doctor(the doc I had when I my miscarriage was the coldest person ever- she made me wait in the waiting room after the tech told me the pregnancy wasn't viable for an hour crying, alone with a bunch of pregnant peeps! But I digress) told me that you body will only do what it can, so if you end up pregnant- it probably was ready.
Also, you tend to be more fertile after a D&C for some reason. It took us 8 months to get pregnant with the first that I miscarried and only one month after the D&C to conceive DD!

I had to wait until my hcg went to a negative numbers, but I do IVF, so I was able to start a new cycle as soon as my hcg was down.

I did not have a D&C. My dr. said we could start again as soon as I got my period.

I had a chemical pregnancy and a very early natural miscarriage. I did not wait to start TTC right away eventhough my RE wanted me to wait a cycle or 2.

my dr. told me to wait two cycles....BUT if we got preggo before the 2 cycles it was ok.
